The Yellow River

The Yellow River originates from the zaoqu, the northern foothill, and the jogu, the "several" glyphs of the northern foothill, which originated in the qinghai-tibet plateau. From west to east, it flows through qinghai, sichuan, gansu, ningxia, Inner Mongolia, shaanxi, shanxi, henan and shandong provinces, and finally flows into the bohai sea.

The upper reaches of the Yellow River are dominated by mountains, and the middle and lower reaches are dominated by plains and hills. Since the middle part of the river flows through the loess plateau of China, there is a lot of sediment in it, so it is also called the most sandy river in the world. But in the history of China, the downstream of the Yellow River has had a great influence on human civilization. It is the most important source of Chinese civilization, and the Chinese call it "mother river". About 1.6 billion tons of silt is produced each year, of which 1.2 billion tons are flowing into the sea. The remaining 400 million tons remain in the lower reaches of the Yellow River for a long time, forming alluvial plains and conducive to planting.
