一起交通事故

上周星期四的早上，我像往常一样，走在上学的路上。一个小男孩跑上来超过了我。

他跑得太快。横马路时他没有看看。突然一辆车驶了过来。我吓坏了，大叫要他停下来。可是迟了，车冲向他，他被撞到了地上。

我跑向小男孩，大喊救命。可驾驶员逃避责任，没有停下来，看都没看这位受重伤的男孩。

一名过路人报了警，两名警察开了一辆车赶过来时，小男孩还在流血。不久后救护车载着伤者走了。警察问了我一些问题，我是毫无用处，因为我没有看车牌号码。他们让我去上学去了。

后来，我得知那男孩因为失血过多而死亡。我很悲伤。我想我永不会忘记那样一个悲惨事故。

On the early morning of last Thursday, I was walking on my way to school as usual. A little boy ran up and passed me.

He ran too fast. He didn't look before he crossed the road. Suddenly a speeding car came round the corner. I was terrified and shouted at him to stop. But it was late, the car ran straight towards him and he was knocked down to the ground.

I ran towards the boy, crying for help. But the driver didn't stop and ran away from his responsibility, without a further look at the unconscious boy.

The boy was still bleeding when two policemen with their ambulance, who had been informed by a passer-by, arrived. It was not long before the ambulance left with the injured boy. The policemen asked me some questions, but I was of no help, because I didn't have a look at the licensed number of the car. They let me off to school.

Later, I learned that the boy died because he lost too much blood. I was very sad. I think I will never forget such a terrible accident.
